Advantages: Its there , local not to far to travel

Disadvantages: range not as big as supermarktes

I think most will find that these Tesco express shops are in built up residential areas. for example in the middle of a huge housing estate that has a few shops in the centre. They are indeed ideal for the essentials but please do not go to a tesco express expecting to find the full range of goods you would in your local tesco supermarket.
These shops are more of a Extended off liensce so to speak with a range off foods and other goods. Most i have visited offer the national lottery services which is always quite handy

Layout...

The layout of these shops are ideal and it is very easy to locate things as everything is seperate. The fridges together, the freezers together, Then all the foods are sectioned off. So if you are looking for gravy granuels... the oxo cubes wont be far away. Typical supermarket like layout just obviously not on the same scale.

Price :

The prices in tesco express are not to bad but you may expect to pay a little more here as they are more of a convinience store. I doubt many would choose the express store to do there weekly shop. Much better prices and range of goods in the supermarkets.

Staff :

The staff i have come across for the most part like in any other tesco i have been to. Very polite and get the job done and always seem to be happy to answer any questions you might have or simply have a chat.

Returns : always happy to exchange things for you but i do believe that there is a policy in place that the customer is always right. Its not worth loosing custom over refusing to change a bottle of wine. Even if they have had 2 large glasses out of it before they try and exchange it for another bottle as it was "corked " or they simply didnt like the taste.
So with regards to returning or exchaning damaged or faulty goods... or even things you simply dont like. i doubt that you would ever come across any problems

Overall :

A brilliant convinence store that will stock alot more than your local off license. Staff are helpful and friendly and the prices are reasonable.
