Tesco Reviews

Newest Review: ... much less! My main criticisms of this company are: PRICE: Generally speaking, Tesco is often more expensive than the other main supermarkets. They try to disguise this fact by wildly fluctuating the amount that things cost! OFFERS: Can be very confusing! Sometimes there are products that work out cheaper at normal price. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The staff at the customer service desk are genuinely very good but if you ask a member of staff for help whilst walking round the store they are usually very lacking in knowledge as to product whereabouts. OWN BRAND QUALITY: I find that the quality of Tesco own label products is pretty poor. There a... more

Tesco is supposed to be the United Kingdom's largest supermarket brand. You would therefore expect fantastic value and customer service, err....not in my experience! I live just across the road from a medium sized Tesco store and therefore am compelled to use it for every day essentials to feed my family of five. For the things we need on a daily basis e.g milk, bread etc it works out a little cheaper than the local convenience stores. For our main weekly shop I get in my car and drive twenty minutes to other supermarkets because even deducting petrol costs, it costs me so much less! My main criticisms of this company are: PRICE: Generally ... Read the complete review

Having just moved to a town where I'm forced to shop at Tesco or commute to the next town, I've found myself using the store more often that I ever have before. And I'm not sure I like doing so. I've found a number of issues, such as many products being higher in price than other supermarkets, such as ASDA and even Morrisons at times. Whilst I'm not against paying extra for good that is good quality, when there is no difference in the product except for the price, it makes you wonder whether Tesco is making use of this particular town's captive market. The staff on occasions have also been unapproachable, uninformative and downright rude. When ... Read the complete review

Tesco is fantastically convenient store simply because they are all over the UK- therefore it is likely there is one near you and plus you can buy almost everything you need all under one roof since Tesco does not just sell groceries but electricals, pharmaceutical products (in their pharmacies), books, clothing, stationary, insurance products etc. Tesco is also the most successful British supermarket to go abroad (and is currently in 14 countries) competing with its American and French rivals- Walmart and Carrefour respectively. Some of the larger Tesco stores have toilets in them which can be useful and have disabled parking which is closest to the store which is ... Read the complete review

I went shopping at my local Tesco store yesterday and was shouted at by one of the staff! I was buying vegetables and there were no plastic bags for the loose veggies, so I told a member of staff who was shelf-stacking that there were no bags. He rounded on me and barked 'Well there are...I put some out this morning'. When I said that the box was empty he raised his voice and snarled back, 'I TOLD YOU I PUT SOME OUT THIS MORNING!' So at that I said that there was no need to start shouting at me and that I was only pointing out that it was difficult to buy loose vegetables if there were no bags to put them in. He then snarled back, 'Well it's not ... Read the complete review

Tesco is great for convenience, there is a tesco extra in most cities which are generally open for 24 hours and a tesco express on almost every doorstep open until 11pm 7 days a week. The shops are always clean and the staff are always well turned out and polite, they never mind looking for a product you can't see on the shelf. The tesco express shops don't generally stock all brands of products but you can find most things even if its not your preferred brand. Tesco extra stores stock a huge range of clothing, electircal goods, stationary, music , personal hygiene goods, and edible goods, this includes a large range of fresh fruit and vegtables, also prepacked if you ...
