One of the best (Tesco)

Advantages: Usually sells what I want Disadvantages: Difficult to get to; Tesco metro doesn't stock much VALUE BRAND.
These days it's a toss up as to whether to shop in Asda or Tesco, and Asda, I think, are probably the cheaper of the two. Tesco stores are usually situated out of town, which means that if you have no transport and five young kids it makes shopping there a bit difficult. However, they tried to answer this one with the Tesco Metro stores which are in the high street, but what I find with these is that they are always crowded and their range is somewhat limited. I always go for the VALUE range of products becuase they're super cheap and of reasonable quality, and basically, they are all I can afford. On a recent visit to a Metrol I found I was unable to buy half the stuff I wanted because the Value brands were not stocked. Tesco quality on the whole is good; their variety in a "proper" store is good and I have never experienced a problem with freshness. Their clothes range can be a bit pricey apart from one or two items and I did get a few bikinis last summer for £4 each which were an absolute bargain; they have had a lot of use and are still as good as new, and I shall be going back for more. Summary: Good supermarket chain. |
