Advantages: Excellent Value, Boils water.

Disadvantages: None really.

In short, does what it says on the tin, nothing more nothing less. Perfect.

Toddled down to Tesco today to replace my ageing old beast that's now tripping the leccy and picked myself up a bargin. Got home plugged it in and it boiled water. What more do you want? I got no plastic taste on the first boil like the previous reviewer however I'm a coffee drinker so maybe that masked it.

It looks perfectly at home on my worktop. There is no embarrassing "Tesco Value" plastered all over it. The only thing that looks a little cheap and brittle is the lid. You could pay 10x as much for a kettle that is more of a fashion accessory than a kitchen appliance, but really, why?

Downsides, and I'm really picking at straws here: Some steam leaks from around the lid, that's it. For 5.48 you just can't go wrong can you!

Summary: A bargin.
