Advantages: It's clean and spacious
Disadvantages: It does a poor job of catering to foreigners and restocking shelves with merchandise
Dear Sir/Madam:
I am writing to you with a complaint. I am a foreigner living in Iksan, Jeonbuk, Korea. I prefer to shop at HomePlus Tesco; however, if the store continues to offer what I feel is bad service, I intend to shop elasewhere.
For one, the store needs signage in English as well. This is 2008 and it's a global world. HomePlus is owned by Tesco, a British company. The products also need to be in English. Often if there is English it is hidden behind some label in Korean. We need to see the nutritional information in English as well. Many products have English names, but that's where it ends. Secondly, so often we find item sthat we like, and the next time we shop, HomePlus is oout of them. If we question or ask, they simply tell us it is not available. Why can't there be at least one person, who speaks English fluently and is on stagg to answer questions by foreigners and give assistance. The other day, as an example, I went to purchase brown rice. I had purchased it before, under the HomePlus label. There were at least 20 varieties of rice on the shef but not brown rice. I asked, but got no help. I went home, got the empty package and took it back. I found someone and showed them what i was looking for. They said they didn't have any. I insisted and a manger was called. He got on his cellphone and while he was talking, another clerk had gone to the back and found a bag. She brought it out, but did not think of putting more on the shelves. This kind of frustrations happen every day here at HomePlus Tesco. One clerk told me that he had gone to England to go through some course at Tesco. This is a great idea...but you need to teach them to restock the shelves with the items that sell. To think about the foreigners..it's an expanding marker and if you don't servoce it, I can assure that others are and will do more in the future. HomeEver does a much better job of catering to the foreigners. I could go on and on about this. I will end it here. Please do something about this. Sincerely, Debra Avram
Summary: HomePlus/Teco could do more
