Tesco is a supreme supermarket. From all the large supermarkets, Tesco is definitely the best. Why? Because of their prices, quality, variety and service. They have it all in the bag, meaning there is no compromise to anything like some supermarkets.

Tesco have their own brand (the value products and the finest range) but unlike some supermarkets, such as Asda, the quality of the product does not waver with the price! The good thing about Tesco is they have wide isles (unlike ASDA) which without a doubt are very useful as there are always people blocking the isles with trolleys, stopping for a chat etc.

They have got different departments, such as clothing & Accessories by F&F, Tesco Direct Furniture, Music & DVDs, Children's toys', Electrical goods, Gardening.... endless list. You would think with so much, they'd have to give somewhere, but NO, luckily they do not compromise in any department. It is always good quality.

They also have self-serve checkouts which are an added bonus if you shop light. One thing I have noticed is that Tesco staff also open another till if there is more than 5 people in a queue (well in my local branch anyway). Staff are friendly, but a lot of Tesco staff within my area are foriegn students that aren't much help as they can barely speak english. By the way I live in the East side of london

There are the small branches and larger branches, Tesco Metro, Tesco Extra and the 24 Hour ones. They even have cheap petrol, the first to reduce their price (NOT own brand)! That is why Tesco is my favorite and only supermarket! I get everything from toaster to underwear, everything in one shop whenever I want! I personally think best times to go are in the Friday, Saturday evenings as Tesco stock up at them times and can shop peacefully.

Summary: Low prices, no compromises.
