Well every one knows Tescos don't they. Pile it high sell it cheap. It has become something of a necessary evil today. I reluctantly shop their for a few bits and pieces and petrol. I never buy fresh food from here because I like to buy them from the local farm. So I guess they are OK for the basics.

They do try to lure you in with their offers and convince you buy things you don't need/want, but they are convinient. Open twenty fours hours a day ( or at least late into the night!) and for this they are very useful to the modern day working household.

Clubcard points are helpful, but I wouldn't shop here just based on this.

Like most supermarkets though I think their environmental credentials are more for show and brownie points than because they feel that is something they actally need to do to get people to come through the door. Whats the point have all these recycling centres, reusing plastic bags etc, when their the ones that pile you up with all the excessive packaging. (This comment isn't aimed purely at Tesco I think most supermarkets need to address this issue.)

Summary: A necessary evil
