Advantages: Light and airy with a broad base of cheap products
Disadvantages: none
I visit Tesco's in Stockport, Handforth and Macclesfield and I enjoy the supermarket layout. For example the stockport store which was one of the largest in the UK is laid out in a spacious way... There are usually 3 cash machines at these 3 stores, with large ATM Screens which are free to use.
Trolleys are free and plentifull with trolley bays nearer the cars for you to leave them in.
As you enter the stockport store you will find a area of magazines, small sandwiches and drinks and a counter to buy them, along with a photo processing section.
Tesco Bake lots of nice quality food for a good price such as muffins, bakewell tarts.
They also have a Cafe at the opposite end of the entrance upstairs where there are well kept clean toilets and a varying choice of hot food. The Cafe is owned by an outside company, so if you wanted to buy a sandwich from tescos downstairs and then go up to the cafe for a cup of tea then this is ok.
There is also a baby change area upstairs.
You can buy some good electronics and DVD Recordable discs among others.
The Checkouts are usually busy at any time of the week,
but the Self service Kiosks are usually empty and easy to use.
The Petrol station has a car wash and the fuel is very competitive.
Some things on sale there maybe still more expensive than at a sale somewhere else but on the whole tescos is acually cheaper.
It's tit for tat on supermarkets as some will charge excessive prices but then on a sale item knock it way under a normal cheaper store...Tescos is a good store.
Summary: Good and cheap
