Disadvantages: Dominate the market

We do most of our shopping with Tesco, either online or offline. I know most people hate them, they're too big, they cut out the competition etc. However I personally find it convenient to have such a wide choice available in one place and at a time to suit me. Tescos is the only supermarket near me which is open 24 hours, which is useful when I have forgotten something I need for an order the next day, or if someone is ill in the middle of the night.

Tescos near me is huge, and has a very wide choice of foods on the ground floor, along with white goods, electricals, homewares, beauty products, magazines, and clothes on the top floor. I find there are often some fabulous offers on the clothes for basics.

One major plus for Tesco is the clubcard vouchers. These can be exchanged for their face value in store, or 4x their value on deals. Tesco points is the equivalent of 1 or 4% cashback depending on how you use them. They are fantastic for us as we trade them for Open University vouchers, to get a great discount on my fiances degree.

While they are not perfect, Tesco are convenient, and I appreciate having them nearby.
