I read somewhere recently that Tesco took in one in every eight pounds spent in Britain across all their services and were the second biggest retailer globally. While these are scary statistics (or impressive depending one where you stand), it isn't too hard to see why. For one thing their shops are everywhere. Every corner shop seems to be ... Tesco is currently the largest and most successful supermarket chain and retailer in the UK. It is only second to Wal Mart in the global stakes when basing its size and presence on profit. The Tesco stores contain a wide range of items and the range increases the larger the style of store you visit. The name, Tesco came about after ... Read the complete review

Tesco is one of the biggest chains in the UK. Usually I find their prices to be pretty competitive and usually a good selection!
Still I prefer Sainsbury's.

I am a regular shopper at Tesco these days. I used to swear by Asda, which did (and still does) seem to be cheaper. However, price isn't everything... I love the range of products available at Tesco, I know I should shop around and use local stores, etc to support the smaller guys and keep variety alive, but I find I just don't have the ... We do most of our shopping with Tesco, either online or offline. I know most people hate them, they're too big, they cut out the competition etc. However I personally find it convenient to have such a wide choice available in one place and at a time to suit me. Tescos is the only supermarket near me which is open 24 hours, which is useful when I ... Read the complete review

With travelling to various festivals etc over this last summer, I have had to visit a supermarket quite often to stock up on snack type foods and of course alcohol! Tesco has been the place that I have managed to visit the most and I was quite impressed really. With not having a big Tesco in my own town, I wasn't really sure what to ... Read the complete review

Tesco has been my favourite supermarket for years, and I love shopping with them, whether it be online or instore. It is one of the major 4 chains in the country, which is one of the reasons why I am always sure that I can get competitive prices all year round, and when I mean competitive, I mean that Tesco are unbelievably cheap. It doesn't ... Read the complete review

Tesco is such a huge company nower days its no suprise that they are such a large part of so many lives. With nearing 4000 stores across the UK they are the largest supermarket retailer in Great Britain. My nearest Tesco is far from local. It is located in the town centre over 6 miles away yet obviously something keeps me going back. ... Read the complete review

Tescos is the largest supermarket in my area. In all honesty because it was the closest to my area was probabyly the main reason why i started going there. I love it though, people may say smal stores are better etc and that they are friendlier however i do not find this to be the case at all. My local tescos branch in northern ireland ... We live pretty close to a Tesco Extra and this one massive supermarket has everything you could need. The food is reasonably priced (compared to other supermarkets) and they offer a wide range of products. Tesco stock their own basic range (Tesco Value) and also a premium range (Tesco Finest) as well as the usual named brands you'd xpect from a ... Read the complete review

We have home delivery with Tesco by shopping on line, because the store is over seven miles away. Although we have a Waitrose (too expensive for every day shop) Morrisons, Co-op, Somerfield and lidl nearer. I find the service is good, the drivers polite and their is alway the alternative if a product wasn't available. Although a delivery fee ... Read the complete review

I am fortunate enough to have a Tesco extra store near where I live. I try other supermarkets from time to time but always end up coming back - the reasons? I find their prices fair and there are always plenty offers too. It is beneficial too when you get extra clubcard points for purchasing certain items, especially when you were ... I visit Tesco's in Stockport, Handforth and Macclesfield and I enjoy the supermarket layout. For example the stockport store which was one of the largest in the UK is laid out in a spacious way... Tesco is a brilliant local supermarket that has good facilities. It is a clean, well-known shop that has staff that are always willing to help, they do their job well, and do it in a short amount of time without rushing! It's only been a couple of years since my local Tesco superstore arrived and I tell you what it couldn't come soon enough for me!
