Tesco falls far short of the competition! (359 words)

Tesco is supposed to be the United Kingdom's largest supermarket brand. You would therefore expect fantastic value and customer service, err....not in my experience! I live just across the road from a medium sized Tesco store and therefore am compelled to use it for every day essentials to feed my family of five. For the things we ...  Read the complete review

Having just moved to a town where I'm forced to shop at Tesco or commute to the next town, I've found myself using the store more often that I ever have before. And I'm not sure I like doing so. I've found a number of issues, such as many products being higher in price than other supermarkets, such as ASDA and even Morrisons ...  Read the complete review

Tesco is fantastically convenient store simply because they are all over the UK- therefore it is likely there is one near you and plus you can buy almost everything you need all under one roof since Tesco does not just sell groceries but electricals, pharmaceutical products (in their pharmacies), books, clothing, stationary, insurance ...  Read the complete review

Rude staff (259 words)

I went shopping at my local Tesco store yesterday and was shouted at by one of the staff! I was buying vegetables and there were no plastic bags for the loose veggies, so I told a member of staff who was shelf-stacking that there were no bags. He rounded on me and barked 'Well there are...I put some out this morning'. When I said that ...  Read the complete review

Tesco: Great for convenience (180 words)
by - written on 13/04/11 (Somewhat useful, 36 readings)

Tesco is great for convenience, there is a tesco extra in most cities which are generally open for 24 hours and a tesco express on almost every doorstep open until 11pm 7 days a week. The shops are always clean and the staff are always well turned out and polite, they never mind looking for a product you can't see on the shelf. The tesco ...  Read the complete review

Tesco, like most other supermarkets are very convenient when you have to shop for weekly groceries. For most of my weekly groceries and other items, I do my shopping at Tesco's. The reason being is that I can shop for most of the products that I need from one place. Nowadays you can buy nearly every household goods from fruits, ...  Read the complete review

What Customer Service? (218 words)
by J Shroff - written on 07/12/10

I live in Hamilton Leicester and we have a Large Tesco Store just up the road from us, I hate using it due to the complete lack of customer care. Tesco's slogan every little helps is a complete farce, the only people Tesco want to help is their shareholders and not their Customers (the little people who pay eveyones wages). Tesco: Every little helps... the profits (990 words)

Well now, Tesco... a supermarket chain that probably almost all of us have patronised at one time or another, unless we live somewhere *really* remote or are *really* strong-willed in our determination not to go there. A chain that many people (including, to some extent, me) consider has grown too big and too powerful - it has over 30% ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Tesco
by Moby - written on 21/09/10
Rating:

I have to say I had a bad experience in the Express store in Richmond (Surrey) today. I went to pay for my goods and as I was standing at the checkout the (I presume) manager was screaming (yes screaming!) and arguing with the checkout assistant about her hours and the rota. In the meantime I was standing waiting to pay for my goods whilst this was going on wondering if I would eventually be served. Is this really the way to behave infront of customers or at any time for that matter . . . I certainly won't be shopping in there again.....

Since my local Tesco store was relocated to the other side of town, the store is so much bigger and better. The layout of the store is set over 2 floors, with food items, toiletries, make up and the like on the ground floor, and the clothing, electricals, games and phones are on the upper floor. The store is pretty big and ...  Read the complete review

For the past 10-15 years, the supermarkets have had a constant struggle between them with the aim of monopolising the supermarket arena. Tesco is my local supermarket so I have been going to it since I was very young. Tesco's sell many things apart from food/drink so it is easy to pick up a few things whilst doing a weekly shop.
