Advantages: Good for home cleaning stuff

Disadvantages: Not always a good price

In a recession people are always looking to tighten their belts and make savings on goods and not to be out done and to ensure their customers save a penny on every purchase over their rivals the 99p store made an appearence to under cut Poundland. Northampto boast at least two 99P stores, one in the high street and another in the Weston Favell shopping centre and both seem to be doing booming business.

The idea behind these stores is to cut costs to a minimum and to not waste money on fancy displays and high end goods, instead the premise is simple, one price for everything and you accept that in some cases the quality will not always be great.Having said that it would be wrong to assume that it is all rubbish as these stores do stock name brands and they carry a wide range of household items.

They are good for things like home cleaning stuff and also toiletries s they have a pretty good range to choose from. They are also good for stocking fillers at xmas and childrens stationary as well, my little niece has loads of colouring books and pen sets from the 99p store, somewhere that she reckons she gets a good return on her pocket money.

One word of caution just because everything is 99p does not mean everything is a bargain, I have seen the odd item at 99p when I know it is cheaperthan that in the supermarkets so it is not always the case that you are saving money. Anyweay without reads at least I'm now half way towards buying something in this shop lol!
