Advantages: Great brands at low low prices

Disadvantages: You always end up with more than you went in for!

As you will know from my previous review about Poundland I think it is a great shop for some good bargains. Well I had seen 99p shops popping up all over the place and entered into one about a year ago. It was so cramped with what looked like a load of old rubbish, I turned around and walked out never to enter another one until recently. I spotted as we drove past the old Woolworths that it had reopened as a 99p shop. So next time I was in that area I popped in. What a pleasant surprise it was spacious and looked like a decent shop with no clutter on the floor ect..

On entering you are greeted with Cereals ( Sugar Puffs, Weetabix, Jordons Muesli Tropical and Natural a 750g box which I love ect....), then there are
garden seeds which I thought I would take a chance on and now have 2 wooden troughs of herbs and chillies in my garden just for 99p ( Basil,Coriander,Chillies, Parsley, Jalapenos and Rosemary!).

If you wonder down the aisle you can buy oven gloves and aprons (with the Woolworths name on them ) which are good quality and great for B-B-Q's.
Next the drinks, we often get them from here as they can work out cheaper
than some 2-1 offers in the supermarkets. Schloer in apple or berry, again a
large bottle not the small one that some of the shops stock, we were also
getting 2 bottles of still Fanta (I'm not sure if they were 2litre bottles or slightly smaller) for 99p.

Again as in Poundland there are plenty for kids to buy with some of the things being really good quality, especially the books which are great. When reaching the tins and jars aisle there are some bargains there as well. I've
got jars of pesto, jalopenos and garlic in olive oil ( which can be quite expensive in some of the shops!). There is the usual nesquik, ovaltine milkshake and assorted jars of coffees. One thing we got hooked on was the boxes of sesame and peanut Slims ( these come in 12 individual packs
and are very thin oblong bars with sesame and peanuts binded together with a toffee coating, they are very small but make a nice snack!).

My favourite section is the hair, make-up and toiletries part, there are some great bargains to be had there!

I have recently had some good buys, they stock a lot of different Revlon products as well as Almay ( which I know is an older brand, but still good)
I recently got an Almay Lip Gloss and Lipstick which is really good!

I do like to try different hand cream and came across one that my mum used to use years ago, it is called Nulon Hand and Nail cream . This brought back
great memories of sharing my mums when I was little, as a treat for my mum
I purchased her the boxed version where you get a pot of hand cream and a pair of white cotton gloves to wear once you have applied it, all for 99p!
She was thrilled with this!

The shampoos are good as you can buy Tresemme, Pantene, Lo'real ect..
and the deodorants like Right Guard, Dove, Arrid ect...

I always buy the branded makes as I'm still a bit unsure about the other brands( I know some people say they are made by the same people in different packaging), but until I know for sure I will stick with what I know.

A great shop, but now I don't know which one is best Poundland or 99p!!!

Summary: Great for food, toiletries, gardening and KIDS!
