Disadvantages: Some items are limited- buy things when you see them, they may not be there the following week!!

Now I have always been very dubious when it comes to these so-called 'bargain' stores. So when I heard that a '99p store' was opening in my town I was sure it would be shop that I would steer clear of. If a shop sells items priced at 99p surely they must just be tat?! Determined to convert me my mum dragged me inside the store. My preconceptions where definately wrong. It didn't sell tat, in fact the shop was full of all sorts of named brands. The toiletry section stocked brands such as palmolive, johnsons, nivea and imperial leather. There was craft things, car products, novelty gifts and toys. I was also suprised to see a food aisle with lots of good quality products.

The service was good and the staff friendly. The shop is spacious and the shelves well stocked and with a good choice of products. My local branch even makes the promise that if you are not given your receipt that you will be given £5 cash back.

I bought a lot on my first visit, but with it being the 99p store I ended up coming away with change! Many of the items that I bought were considerably cheaper in the 99p shop than in my local supermarket. Since then I have actually split my shopping into two- I shop at the supermarket and then buy everything else that I need from the 99p store at a fraction of the cost. In doing this I have cut my weekly shop in half!

I have definately been converted. I will be shopping in the 99p store from now on and will always be on the look out for a bargain!

Summary: 99p store sells good quality products at a fraction of the cost!
