I first heard about the shop about a month ago when my sister went shopping and decided to go in the 99p store in our local town centre (Hayes). When she got home she had loads of Betty crocker candles and a few well known brands cosmetics which all cost 99p each. She was telling me that everything is either 99p or less and they sell pretty much ... Read the complete review

I've always loved pound shops - a great place to pick up cheap cosmetics and beauty products, cleaning supplies, and tasty treats for the store cupboard . But why pay a pound when you could be paying 99P - so when a 99p store opened in Nottingham a couple of years ago, I started going there instead . The store is located in Broadmarsh ... I have three 99p stores located close to my home but my review is based on the main one i visit which is based in Weston Favell shopping centre in northamptonshire. This shop is brilliant for bargains like for instance they had a bogof offer on colgate zig zag toothbrushes so that was 99p for 2 toothbrushes. The have all kinds of ... Read the complete review

I love the 99p stores as you can (if you look properly) find a bargain. You do have to look carefully as some items you may find in your supermarket value range as 89p or in your local wilkinsons or poundstreacher. Baby items like bibs with sleeves, harnesses with reigns are excellent value, some food items are very good, but look ... Read the complete review

Ques and Ques of people were waiting for our local branch of the 99p store in Southampton to open waiting an hour and a half to pay the 99p store is a success. 99P Stores Ltd was founded by Entrepreneur Nadir Lalani in January 2001. He opened his first store in Holloway in London, and continued to open 3 more stores that year. In 2002 ... Read the complete review

For anybosy who knows Hayes town, the old woolworths has just been made into the 99p store, and its huge, so a big range! 99P Store alike poundland sells random good at the cost of 99p, which is great. We had a new 99p store open this year in Gillingham Kent where our old Woolworths used to be. It is a big store inside although not as big as Woolies used to be as they have partitioned off some of the space to make the store rectangular where as Woolies had bits going round corners etc. The store is very spacious and there is a big ... The 99p store is a bargain store selling a wide variety of products for a mere 99p. With it's biggest competitor in the market being Poundland, the outlet is growing rapidly across the country. I've noticed recently that they have opened quite a few new stores in old premies previously occupied by Woolworths. So what exactly is on offer ... Read the complete review

I grow up with Woolworths, it was always the shop I went to when I needed anything, a drink, a game, batteries, you name it, and so when it ran out of business of course I was sad to see it go. A few months later I found it had been replaced by a 99p store, naturally I felt it would never be up to Woolworths standards and straight away I thought ... Read the complete review

Now I have always been very dubious when it comes to these so-called 'bargain' stores. So when I heard that a '99p store' was opening in my town I was sure it would be shop that I would steer clear of. If a shop sells items priced at 99p surely they must just be tat?! Determined to convert me my mum dragged me inside the store. My preconceptions ... Read the complete review

I can count on one hand the things I truely love: my sons, Arsenal F.C., my family, a nice single malt and the feeling I get when I discover a real bargain! So it's not unusual to find me rummaging about in: charity or second-hand shops, car boots, flea markets and my latest haunt; the local '99 Pence Store' I love it! Not only can ... If this caring, sharing Goverment decides to scrap the 1p coin, one dreads to think what the 99p shop will do - apart from become a £1 store, naturellement. The one nearest to me opened about 6 months ago, in direct competition to two £1 shops within insulting distance of each other. It seems to be doing a brisk trade, and had a quite ... As you will know from my previous review about Poundland I think it is a great shop for some good bargains. Well I had seen 99p shops popping up all over the place and entered into one about a year ago. It was so cramped with what looked like a load of old rubbish, I turned around and walked out never to enter another one until recently. I ... Read the complete review

The 99p store is actually a really great place to go i you are not fussy. I come in here occasionally. it would not be the place I would do my weekly shop, but as a place to supplement the weekly shop it is absolutely perfect. Hopefully the 99p store is here to family. What great value for money, It really shows you just how much profit other stores make on the same product. Everythings under £1.00. I love my local 99p store in Derby, It stocks and houses all sorts of items from sewing kits to biscuits, baking trays and chocolates. All items in the store cost 99 pence as the name says. However....note that not all items are cheaper than they would be in say a larger supermarket. You definately have to watch out ... Review of 99p Stores The concept of 'cheap' stores is not a new one, Poundland, Poundsavers, Poundstretchers have all paved the way towards cheaper than High St shops and become familiar in our towns. 99p Stores were new to me however.
