Everythings under £1.00. I love my local 99p store in Derby, It stocks and houses all sorts of items from sewing kits to biscuits, baking trays and chocolates. All items in the store cost 99 pence as the name says. However....note that not all items are cheaper than they would be in say a larger supermarket. You definately have to watch out ... Review of 99p Stores The concept of 'cheap' stores is not a new one, Poundland, Poundsavers, Poundstretchers have all paved the way towards cheaper than High St shops and become familiar in our towns. 99p Stores were new to me however. I first visited a branch last year in the Weston Favell shopping centre near Northampton and have ... Read the complete review

The 99p store in EASTLEIGH swan centre, Hampshire. ** THE SHOP ITSELF ** To put it bluntly it stinks.. no really it does smell. I can not quite put my finger on it.. i think its sweat but its not pleasant lets put it that way. The shop is so small.. and of course they cram in as much as they can. If there was a fire in ... Everyone loves a bargain... I love one dont you? I popped into my local 99p Store and just as I expected it was filled to bursting with delightful things... and all at the much coveted cost of a mere 99p... it really does do what it says on the tin! The shelves are full with brand name goodies as well as makes I have never ... Read the complete review

There is a 99p store in Camden that I go to regularly and you can actually buy branded products for 99p that would usually cost so much more. Recent things that I've bought in there that should cost more than 99p are green and blacks chocolates, cadbury dairy milk squares and baci (okay, I admit it, I'm a chocoholic!). They stock a big ... I am not really snooty but I do set a certain standard while buying things and till I spotted this african-violet plant in a 99p some months back outside ur 99p-shop I did not have anything to do with going into really bargain shops. I ended up buying two plants and two equally nice plant-stands. These days I often peep in there to look ... Read the complete review

well what can I say about the 99p stores? as you would first imagine yes every item in this store is only 99p great if you are on a budget but some items here are a little useless, dont get me wrong there are some good bargains in these stores and as I have one in my local town I will always have a browse through here. They do food and drink ... Read the complete review

Great, everything under a pound! However under a pound does not necessarily mean its cheaper here than elsewhere! The 99p and poundland stores are a God send in times of financial hardship (read that as the end of the month before payday). I have managed to pick up great branded goods for less than half the price they sell for in Tesco. However ... Read the complete review

As the "Credit Crunch" marks its first anniversary there's nothing more enjoyable in your lunch hour than to wander around these discount stores and watching middle-class people having to do some shopping there. Actually there are a lot better things to do in your break, especially looking at girls in those lovely summer dresses that are ... Read the complete review

There are loads of cheap bargain shops around now, but the 99p store has got to be one of the best and obviously the cheapest as everything it sells is 99p, sometimes they do buy one get one frees too, so you get two items for 99p. You may be lead to believe that these kind of stores are filled with junk and useless items that will ... Read the complete review

My closest 99p store is in the Broadmarsh shopping centre in Nottingham, so I'll be focusing on this particular one in my review. When I first moved to Nottingham, it was Hobbycraft, but then closed and opened as a £2 shop. I was surprised (but pleased!) to see it become a 99p store soon after. Unlike a typical £2, £1 or 99p ... Read the complete review

The 99p store is situated in our local town centre in Swindon. It is easily accesable by bus and close to car parking facilities. The stores isles are not very wide and it is very difficult to shop in there with a buggy or wheelchair. However, it is certainly worth a visit, as it is full of bargins. Some of the highlights of the ... Read the complete review

Being a massive fan of bargains, it should come to no surprise that the 99p is obviously the best place to go to find them! My 'local' store is 3 miles away and although I don't have a car, I am more than willing to wait for a few buses knowing that in under an hour I will be browsing a store brimming with nick-nacks to satisfy every ... My love affair with the poundshop (see previous review by me) continues however I have found another store which is slightly cheaper. It is called 99p store. Believe it or not at 99p store all the items are sold for 99p. It is a chain store, the site for the company says that it has shops all over England. That is not true, most of ... Picture a typical winter scene. Not the snow filled and lamp-lit Victorian Christmas scene. Rather, The Boyfriend in a thin jumper and me in a Parka and hipsters combination which leaves an unpleasantly chilly gap, walking between 1960’s buildings in a freezing wind. Eyes down on the damp concrete to avoid grit in our faces and a general demeanour ... Read the complete review
