... Maille wholegrain mustard is quite a mild mustard. It is mainly a vinegar taste that is punctured by the strong bursts of mustard flavour that come from the seeds. In some ways it is part way between good old-fashioned colman s mustard (this is where the strong wholegrains seeds of mustard come in) and the French-style mustard you get for burgers (this is where the vinegar part comes in). It is not as sweet as a French-style burger mustard. It is an excellent compromise between strength on the one hand and sharp vinegar on the other. I mean to me someone who doesn t eat it in on a roast beef dinner is mad lol It s just not right at all!
