McVitie's Mini Cookies Choc Chip
by spidystrider It does sometimes feel, that I buy the same sweets and chocolate for my children, every week. They don't often complain, but sometimes say, it would be nice to have a change. I began searching Tesco online for some alternatives and McVitie's Mini Choc Chic Cookies, was one that I found. McVitie's minis are exactly as they are ... described. They are miniature versions of their well known and very popular biscuits. My kids love both the choc chip cookies and the milk chocolate digestives. I will be reviewing the choc chip cookies this time. I always buy McVitie's Mini Choc Chip Cookies in a multi-pack, which contain 6 bags. These bags are just the perfect size for a lunch box and make a tasty snack without being overly filling. I always find that they are great quality and every bag of cookies, tastes fresh and crunchy. They are a lovely golden colour and have a good amount of chocolate chips in them. *Ingredients* Wheat Flour, Vegetable Oil (Palm), Sugar, Chocolate Chips (15%)[Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Cocoa Butter, Emulsifier (Soya Lecithin), Natural Flavourings], Dried Whey, Partially Inverted Sugar Syrup, Salt, Raising Agent (Sodium Bicarbonate), Natural Flavourings. They do contain milk, soya, gluten and may contain nuts, so not suitable if you have an allergy to any of these. They do not contain artificial colours or flavours or hydrogenated vegetable oil. *Nutritional Information per pack* Calories - 123 Protein - 1.4g Carbohydrates - 16.3g of which saturates - 7.6g Fat - 5.8g of which saturates - 2.9g Fibre - 0.7g Sodium - 0.1g McVities Mini Choc Chip Cookies are suitable for vegetarians. I buy my multi-pack in Tesco, where they cost £1.19, which works out at 20p per bag. This makes them a very affordable snack, as many chocolate bars cost over 30p each now. With three children and a husband, who all like a sweet treat every day, this can really add up to a lot of money. Finding affordable snacks like this, makes all the difference. I will keep buying these and will also try out some more of McVities mini range. They are excellent quality and although they are a bit small, I still find them good value and an enjoyable snack. McVitie's Mini Cookies Choc Chip
by hazeybabe07 I'm always trying to find a new snack for my son to try rather than eating the same crisps or chocolate and these are perfect for kids and adults. Mcvities are a well known company that do some lovely biscuits and when I saw these, I just had to give them a try. The bag contains around 10 cookies, not many, but perfect ... for a little lunchbox snack for the kids though. I love chocolate chip cookies and could eat them till the cows come home, so it's a good job there aren't many of them because the kids wouldn't get a look in! The cookies are flat on one side and a little rounded and crumbly on the top with a few chocolate chips visible on both sides. They're a dark golden colour and are really crumbly so they fall apart in your mouth meaning my son makes a complete mess with them, but don't all kids with biscuits? You can get these in bags of 25 grams or 40 grams. The 25 gram bags come in the multi-pack bags of 6 which you can get these at Asda for about £1.38. The 40 gram bags are sold seperately and are about 58p. The packaging is burgandy and blue with the Mcvities logo being fairly big and the product title being very big and bold, these are easy to spot on the shelf at the shop. The cookies taste heavenly, a lovely mixture of crunchy tasty cookie with the contrasting soft milk chocolate that melts and crumbles in your mouth. Irresistable! Nutritional information: per 25g bag: Energy kJ - 514 Kcal - 123 Carbohydrates (of which sugars) - 7.6 grams Fat (of which sugars) - 5.8 grams Protein - 1.4 grams Fibre - 0.7 grams Quite a bit of fat there, but I'm sure if eaten as part of a balanced diet, there is nothing wrong with them. Overall, these little choc chip cookies taste amazing and are brilliant as a little snack or lunchbox addition and aren't too expensive. I'd recommend them because all of my family like them very much. Read the complete review |

McVitie's Mini Cookies Choc Chip
by MeganFF McVities are known for their cakes and biscuits, and have been for years. On a recent supermarket wander, I felt the need for something to satisfy a hormonal craving. It had to include chocolate, and not offer too much in one hit, as I'm still trying to lose weight. A small bag of mini cookies seemed to fit the bill ... (I'd seen a TV ad for Maryland Cookies) so I bought a bag of McVities Mini Choc Chip Cookies. Nutritional Values are important, so here they are: Per bag, 25g. 123 calories, 5.8g fat (2.9g which saturates), 1.4g protein, 16.3g carbs (7.5g which sugars), 0.7g fibre and 0.1g sodium. Opening the bag, you find lots of little (25g) bags. Open this, and you immediately smell cookies. Mmmmm A quick count says there is an average of 8 cookies per bag (hope you're impressed, I had to eat two bags to get your guys an average!) and eat cookie is perfectly shaped to fit straight in the mouth. No biting here The cookie has just the right amount of crumble to it's texture. You can snap it in half easy enough in the mouth. The small bits seem to melt away on the tongue. But there's enough bite to make it a satisfactory biscuit. It's not overly chocolatey, but that is very good. For a cookie, you want to be able to see the chips, and get the choc hit as it melts over your tongue - in my opinion. These cookies match that description. Considering the amount of cookies per bag, I'd say these are as close to perfect as you can get with bought biscuits. Just enough to satisfy that craving, but too many to make you feel bad about yourself for scoffing the lot Read the complete review |
