... mince is an extremely versatile vegetarian food stuff which does all the stuff that meat mince does, only without the gristle. The products main ingredient is mushrooms (mycoprotein). Firstly, you have your lasagne. I make my lasagne with this sometimes, it is one of the first dishes I started cooking, I have only been cooking regularly just recently and now find it hard to go back to ready meals when you can make things so quickly and cheaply. ... boyfriend picked these up when he was doing the weekly food shop last month. I m vegetarian (he is not!) and although I do like Quorn products, this is not something I would have chosen myself, simply because I don t like the idea of a product that looks like meat! However I thought I would give them a try seeing as they appeared in the freezer! You get 4 pies in the box, each in a little foil container. The cooking instructions state they take 30 minutes at 200 oC, until the pastry is well risen. ... first bought this product around two months ago in Tesco, they cost around £1.99 for a 350g bag which contained about 6 peices. I always buy a bag of chicken in my weekly shop as you can do soooo much with them. I use them for salad, stir-fry, breadcrumb them, make curries with and much much more. So, my eye was caught by the writting on the packaging that said suprisingly low fat and only 98 calories per portion, I was obviously so distracted by this fabulous text that I failed to notice that it also stated on the bag that they were chicken STYLE peices It didn t even cross my mind that there may thave been a vegetarian alternative to chicken.
