Machair1 Waitrose Cornish Quartz Cheddar: ... rather like a nice chunk of strong cheddar and often go for Canadian as these rich cheeses are lovely with chutney and crackers. However recently I noticed a new cheese in Waitrose which is also available through the online delivery company Ocado called Cornish Quartz. There is something about the name which really appealed to me, so I purchased a small piece first to see if I liked it. Waitrose have done the corr...

suzanneb84 Waitrose Chargrilled Vegetable Antipasti Pizza
... have to say that this is one of the nicest "posh" pizzas you can buy. It is from Waitrose which obviously means it is expensive - at £4 this doesnt seem too much however the fact of the matter is that you dont get that much for the money - similar priced goods have lots of meat etc, this only has a variety of veg, ie courgettes and sunblush tomatos. It also has no cheese because it has lots of herbs etc instead. However, the flavours are absolutley fantastic; i call it a "posh" pizza because it it essentially a flatbread with upmarket tasty goods on it so if that isnt your thing and you would like a chessy overload with a thich carby base this isnt f...

Ellefurtle Waitrose Spicy Jacket Potato Wedges
... wedges are a very handy alternative to oven chips. They are lower in fat weight for weight as well, making them a healthier option. These wedges are made with the potato skins left on. I think this gives them a bit more flavour those without the skin and of course, everyone knows all the goodness of a potato is in the skin, again making them a little more nutritious. The skins also crisp up nicely in the oven. They are called spicy and there is a dusting of orangey spice on them - a little chilli powder maybe, although it just says spices on the label. However, they are not hot at all, the spice is very mild and just adds a bit of flavour to them. McCains s...

i_am_joy Waitrose Chicken Tikka Masala & Pilau Rice
... s rare I buy ready meals as I find them overly salty and very bland in comparison to their home made equivalent, but in Waitrose last week I saw a chilled Chicken Tikka Masala with Pilau Rice which had been reduced from almost £4 to just £1.79 as the cardboard sleeve had become damaged. I do enjoy Waitrose food so decided to buy it for my dinner as I had purchased naan breads from Tesco the day before. The curry is packaged in the usual sectioned microwavable container with the tasty looking yellow rice in one section and a reassuringly chunky looking curry in the other. As usual with these kinds of meal you can microwave it or pop it in the oven for around 40 minut...
