Advantages: Good quality products

Disadvantages: Quite expensive

I first started to get an organic food delivery from Abel and Cole, just over a year ago, a few months after the birth of my baby. I though that it would be convenient to have the groceries delivered, as we live in a flat with lots of stairs up to it, and it would also be healthier for all the family to eat more organic food, especially as I was thinking about weaning. I ordered a medium mixed fruit and vegetable box, some milk, butter and a wholemeal loaf, coming to just over £14.00 per week. At the time, I still had maternity pay coming in, so money was not a problem.
I was happy with the quality of the produce, and the fact that it is not generally flown all over the world. It was nice getting a surprise each week, with seasonal fruits and vegetables, and we got to try some things that we don't get very often, such as artichokes and fennel. I was also pleased that my daughter was getting a good start.
After a few months, my maternity pay ended, and I decided not to go back to work, meaning that we had less money coming in, so I cancelled the Abel and Cole order, as it was quite expensive, though good quality. I have since been going to Tesco's and looking for good deals, and using the local grocers more. Abel and Cole was good while I was able to afford it though, and a nice luxury after having a baby.

Summary: Good if you can afford it
