I got invited to my friend's house the other night, for a meal, so whilst out shopping I felt I should contribute and take something. As I knew most people would be driving I decided to avoid the alcohol option. As I walked down the central aisle of Tesco, I heard the chocolate calling me (as it does every time!! Does anyone else get that?) I spotted some 'After Eight' mints as they had a bright yellow label indicting they were on offer: from £2.39 to £2.00, I can't resist a special offer, so placed a pack in my trolley. After dinner, my friend placed them on the table in front of me, oh dear, what a shame, I would have to open them, then have the first one ... Read the complete review

You'll probably be sick! After Eights are after dinner mints from Nestle, I normally get these from neighbours at Christmas time and I give them to others as they make an excellent gift. Look The After Eights come in a dark green rectangular box, on the top and sides it says After Eights in very stylish elaborate white writing, this is slightly raised making it feel like a top quality box. The logo is a golden clock which is of course pointing to just after Eight o Clock so you know it's time for After Eights! Below the logo it says thin chocolate mints in shiny golden lettering which is a really nice touch. On the back and underneath the box you have ... Read the complete review

I am not a big eater and I certainly don't have a sweet tooth but it might still be impossible for me to finish this review without heading out to get myself a box of after eight`s. Without a doubt these are my favourite chocolates, brilliant for snacking on anytime but can also be great for handing out after dinner parties or giving as gifts. I am sure everyone knows what an after eight mint is or at least what the original is, there are now many variations of this fantastic chocolate. In case anyone out there is not aware then I will fill you in gladly. The original after eight mint comes in a rectangular box, dark green in colour. Inside the box there is a ... Its Christmas again and there's a box of After Eights on the coffee table! Now I have to say that I am not over keen on these as they are full of peppermint crème and I have never been a great fan of peppermint, but I do have one or two so I think I can manage a review of them. They are made by Nestle in Germany and their websites are www.nestle.com or www.nestle.de The box is green with After Eight written in white with the two words being one either side of a picture of an old fashioned clock showing the time as five past eight. Inside the 200g box there are about 20 After Eight mints each in an individual sleeve a bit like a ... Read the complete review

Nestle After Eight must be the best known after dinner mint mainly because that is how it is advertised, as something to be eaten in the evening after a meal when the coffee is being served. Personally if I buy a box I can never wait that long and have always sampled a few before dinner is ready. These mints are very thin and each one comes in an individual black wrapper with the distinctive after eight clock on it and an opening across the top so they ca be removed from the box without needing to remove the wrapper however this can be annoying as then you are never quite sure how many are left. I'm not normally a fan of dark chocolate but when it ... Read the complete review
