      Yum!

Unless I have marmalade on toast of a morning I'm really fit for nothing! In fact I usually end up eating some in the morning and at night, I guess I'm more than a little addicted to the stuff if I'm honest! My Mum usually gets me a branded one however of late she has been doing a little shopping in Aldi and with great results! So she decided to try me on this to save a few pennies a month! I was a bit worried with this only priced at 69pish a jar but it was all that was in the cupboard so it was tough on my part as it was this or nothing! lol. The Packaging: 454g heavy glass jar with an orange label to the front and one to the back and there is a black lid to top of it you simply twist on and off. On the front of the jar I'm told it's Deliciously Fruity Orange Marmalade 'Thick Cut' and there is an at a glance nutritional chart on there and I'm told it contains 35% fruit. On the back label other information includes ingredients being listed, a full nutritional chart is displayed and contact details for Aldi are given. Nice enough jar though there is no allergy advice given and I'm not sure by looking at the ingredients whether it is suitable for Vegetarians or not either. The Marmalade: Dark orange in colour and jelly like though when you first open the jar it is of course set. A word to the wise here though.....do keep this stored in the fridge otherwise it does tend to melt to slush in the jar at room temperature really badly. So as I have said when you first meet it you are greeted with a set marmalade that appears moist of course and contains small pieces of dark orange orange shred. It spreads easily, smells zesty and is quite a thick marmalade really. Taste wise it is incredibly sweet but in a really natural way and the marmalade is a little on the sour side with a slight bitterness to it. However I really like this. It is strong in flavour and I love the sweetness along with the bitterness, I like the consistency and the fact that it's simple and easy to spread. It tastes of oranges and in my view is really a high quality product. Since that first jar I consumed I now have this weekly. A real economical treat for thick loving marmalade eaters this is!
