Advantages: Dairy free
Disadvantages: none
My grandson has had a dairy intolerance he has at 3 years old grown out of it but I still keep a few Alpro Soya yoghurts in the fridge ready for him.
It was difficult to find easy deserts apart from fruit (he eats so many bananas I think he is beginning to look like one). When I found these yoghurts I was delighted.
They come in several flavours but I am going to describe the banana and the strawberry one here.
I usually buy my Alpro Soya yoghurt at Tesco. They are packed in a cardboard box of 4. The pack gives all the nutritional details; the price if I can remember correctly is about £1.42 for the pack of four pots
These pots weigh 125 g so are not very big, big enough though. The shelf life on these yoghurts is usually very good 1 or 2 months, so that is ideal for me to keep in the fridge for those occasional unpronounced visits.
As well as the strawberry and the banana yoghurts he other varieties are peach, black cherry, pear, and mango. They are available as organic or non organic.
They taste lovely a smooth Soya yoghurt and the banana flavour is mild as is the strawberry one not over sweet. The banana one is smooth yoghurt but there are a few real pieces of strawberry in the strawberry one.
These yoghurts are great for a desert on their own or fresh fruit can be added to them. I like yoghurt added to my breakfast cereal.
These yoghurts are dairy free, gluten free, egg free, non GMO Soya beans, free from additives and preservatives. These yoghurts are suitable for vegetarians and vegans Each yoghurt contains 82 calories thats not too bad is it.
If you wish further info the site www.alpro.com has some info.
Thanks for reading , these yoghurts are a good dairy free alt
