A 400g tin will cost around £1, though can sometimes be found on offer. You can also buy this in ready to pour cartons and small, yogurt style pots. To heat up, either warm gently in a saucepan or pop into the microwave for around 2 minutes, stirring half way through - check carefully as times are likely to vary and you don't want to overheat this product. well now, I am a dedicated swimmer and diver and need to keep in shape as I'm sure you can imagine! I first tried ambrosia when I was trying to find a love fat dessert - I love my desserts! Upon first look I was put off by the yellow glow and timidly spooned some of the creamy (and it was delicously creamy) custard, I let the taste settle in my mouth before swallowing... it was amazing! I can describe it as sweet yet satisfying!! I always have my ambrosia hot now, it really feels like luxurious custard and warms you right through! Which does just the trick in this winter weather! I also work part time in a restaurant (which does lovely apple pie) I ...  Read the complete review

Ambrosia Devon Custard Description: Ambrosia Devon Custard from their Devon Creamery Delicious hot or cold. I am a massive fan of custard, preferably eaten hot (unless it is in a pastry and then cold is delicious!) and have tried quite a few different brands. Unfortunately, Ambrosia does tend to be the most expensive one, but the reason for that is that it is so, so much better than the competitors! Unfortunately, the 400g tin doesn't have a pull off top so you will need a tin opener to get it open. I love custard with everything, so I buy this frequently. I haven't tried a great deal of other brands of custard, but this is gorgeous so I wouldn't need to replace it... I'm doubting that anything else CAN! ~~~PACKAGING~~~ The custard is simply put into a tin can, with a paper wrapper around detailing what it is etc. It has a simple opener at the top with which you need to use a can opener to open, but once you open, it is simply custard, custard, custard! I personally find that it's a little messy, due to custard being fluid, and just mucks up your can opener. They should have the easy to open lid, where you just have to pull it back! That ...  Read the complete review

When it comes to custard, for me it's a no brainer and I always go straight for the 'Amrbosia custard', I eat it plane or on hot puddings, crumbles and pies and I don't mind anyway as long as it is only this make! What is it? It is a tin or custard, it is not the instant stuff wher you have to add water, but is 'pre-made' in a sense and all you have to do is heat it up. The range? Yes, there is a range of Ambrosia dessert custard, you can get it in the tin, the bigger carton, little pots, some with strawberry jam, little crumble pots with custard next to it- the list goes on! The price: It costs around 50p, costing up to £1 ...  Read the complete review

While shopping at the weekend I thought it was about time I started getting my son's food box ready for University, as he is off in a couple of weeks ( sob sob!). Well I thought I'd start with some comfort food today, not knowing who he is sharing with yet I thought just get somethings that he can keep in his room without a fridge. I spotted the Ambrosia Devon Custard, the one I'm talking about is in different packaging to the one shown on Dooyoo above. This is the four pack version that comes in little pots like yoghurts with a cardboard sleeve. On the front of the sleeve there is a lovely clear blue sky with a green field, in the centre of ...  Read the complete review
