Ambrosia Devon Custard

This is a really nice thick and creamy custard from Ambrosia. They have been making prducts since 1917 so they are a name you can trust. Ambrosia products generally come tinned and in the form of desserts, another great example is Ambrosia Creamed Rice.

The custard most commonly comes in a 425g tin with a happy looking green label. The tin costs around 69p and is available in almost all supermarkets, it generally serves three people. In my opinion is beats supermarket brands hands down. It can be eaten hot or cold and if hot can be microwaved or heated in a pot. The custard is also available in small plastic snack pots that are individual portions ready to eat with an easy peel lid. These are alos widely availbale and cost around 50p each.

The custard contains a glass and a half of milk per 425g tin and therefore high in calcium, it is alo relativley low in fat. A serving = a third of the can contains 143kcals and 4.1g of fat. The custard can be eaten alone, with cake or can be used in puddings such as trifle. There are many versatile uses for the custard. The product is suitable for vegitarians

The taste-
This is a thick, creamy and delicious tasting custard. It tastes creamy and milky with subtle sort of vanilla taste.

Overall-
A really good sweet treat.

Summary: Really yummy
