Yes, hands up, I am a yoghurt fan, but now and again I do enjoy the odd serving of custard - there's something special about it you do not get from yoghurt! When I do eat it, I usually go for Ambrosia.

Ambrosia custard, unlike other none leading brands, is a bright yellowy shade, shocking in fact! You can eat this either hot or cold. When you pour cold custard into the bowl, it is quite gloopy and thick. Tasting it, its always VERY cold, and has a sugary sweet vanilla flavour.

If you heat your serving up, it seems to thin out a little, and becomes a little more sweet too. I do not like it this way on its own, but if you serve it with sponge puddings, its better hot!

Custard is not as healthy as yoghurts (well, some!) unless you go for the low fat range. Thankfully, the low fat range has just a good of a taste, if not better, than normal custard, and is no less thick and gloopy! Enjoy Ambrosia custard on its own, or with a sponge! It does make a delicious dessert now and again!
