I am a huge fan of custard. Sometimes I just have a bowl of it by itself for dessert. I am inherently lazy and so when I realised you could buy custard ready made to perfection in a tin rather than having to make it up form powder that could sometimes go magnificently wrong, I was sold. We now always have a tin of Ambrosia Custard in the ... Read the complete review

When I was younger the only custard we ever had was a tin of the yellow powder that was Birds Custard Powder. This was lovely but never came out the same way twice, it was mostly either ridiculously watery or thick enough to stand on and there were also many occasions were the milk burnt onto the pot and you either spent a long time scrubbing or ... Yes, hands up, I am a yoghurt fan, but now and again I do enjoy the odd serving of custard - there's something special about it you do not get from yoghurt! When I do eat it, I usually go for Ambrosia. Ambrosia custard, unlike other none leading brands, is a bright yellowy shade, shocking in fact! You can eat this either hot or cold. ... I recently wrote a review on Angel Delight which I keep in my 'Just in Case' shelf in my kitchen cupboard. Another item, I always have on this shelf, is a couple of cans of Ambrosia Devon Custard. This has been a great favourite with my family for many years. Ambrosia custard is made by Premier Foods. They are the UK's largest food ... Read the complete review

Ambrosia Devon Custard This is a really nice thick and creamy custard from Ambrosia. They have been making prducts since 1917 so they are a name you can trust. Ambrosia products generally come tinned and in the form of desserts, another great example is Ambrosia Creamed Rice. The custard most commonly comes in a 425g tin with ... Read the complete review

well now, I am a dedicated swimmer and diver and need to keep in shape as I'm sure you can imagine! I first tried ambrosia when I was trying to find a love fat dessert - I love my desserts! Upon first look I was put off by the yellow glow and timidly spooned some of the creamy (and it was delicously creamy) custard, I let the taste settle in my ... Read the complete review

When it comes to custard, I tend to chop and change my brands. Sometimes I'll go for the shops own brand. But usually I resort back to Ambrosia Devon Custard. PACKAGING <><><>< You can buy this custard for around £0.70p for a 425g can, which isn't the cheapest custard around, but it is really ... Read the complete review

The cream of Devon. I love Devon, I really love Ambrosia Devon low fat custard too. Now, I am of the old school. I have ALWAYS made my own custard and didn't intend to stray from such a high ''home-makers'' stance BUT, I am a live-in carer so when my client asks for his favourite Ambrosia Devon Custard, from a ... Why hasn’t anyone written about this brilliant custard before this? We were out shopping this morning and as usual when we got back home Ross (my son for those who don’t know me yet) was as usual looking for a snack. He had his head stuck in the groceries cupboard as is easy to do for him as he is over six feet tall, and he came out ... Read the complete review
