Advantages: Cheap, Easy storage, Sugar-Free option

Disadvantages: Bland, Messy, Time consuming

I can’t believe this product is still taking up room on supermarket shelves. My story takes place back in the 70’s when this “Wonder Whip” was the hippest pud in town. I always remember wolfing down my dinner on the promise that if I did I would get pudding. Sometimes pudding would be tinned fruit cocktail (Yuk) or cheap arctic roll (Yuk). However, if we were lucky (And we had enough milk), Mum would reach into the cupboard and pull out a pack of the good stuff.

She would make it up, put it in sliver serving dishes and place it in the fridge for 10 Minutes to set. This 10 Minutes used to seem like a lifetime, but back then the wait was worth it.

Now skip to modern times. This product doesn’t look so appealing anymore and here’s why. First off the choice of other desserts has gone crazy and many products have sprung up around Angel Delight that are more exciting and more interesting. I don’t want to have to use half a pint of milk, whip the stuff till my arm drops off, end up with a sink full of pots and powder everywhere only to eat what I now realise is flavoured slop.

Apart from the addition of Sugar-Free varieties and updated packaging, this is the same product it has always been. Angel Delight needs to move with the times. As the children of today will see right through it!!!!
