Advantages: Quick, Cheap, Easy to make
Disadvantages: I can't think of any
Okay okay I know Angel Delight is probably meant to be for kids, but then I'm a big kid at heart and I love this stuff.
It's an easy dessert to make if you haven't got much time to rustle something up or if you have a sudden urge to eat something sweet.
All you need is half a pint of cold milk, your chosen flavour of Angel Delight and the ability to wait for five minutes while it sets.
Angel Delight is available in five flavours, stawberry, banana, chocolate, butterscotch and raspberry. Three of the flavours are also available with no added sugar, these are chocolate, strawberry and butterscotch. I have yet to try the no added sugar version but will give it a try next time I see it for sale.
I used to really enjoying making it when I was a kid too, because there are no hot ingredients needed it was something I could make all on my own. I used to love taking my Dad his bowl of butterscotch angel delight, proudly telling him I'd made it all on my own.
At 32p a packet, there are always at least a couple of packets in the cupboard, ready for when I fancy something sweet.
No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives are used.
Each serving (92g) if made with semi skimmed milk contains 107kcal, 3g protein, 14.2g carbohydrate, 4.4g fat (3.8g saturated fat)
(based on Strawberry flavour)
Summary: Yummy pudding for less than the price of a Mars Bar
