I remember seeing this Mlk a few years ago when it came out, and have only tried it last week. I knew it boasted it was only 1% fat, but that's the same as Skimmed Milk, isn't it? I just carried on with my normal milk choice and didn't give it a 2nd thought.

On the way home from Asda the other night I remembered I didn't have any milk left. Being on a diet, and needing my bowl of cereal at night, this was a life or death situation. I really, really needed some milk. Since I couldn't be bothered to go all the way back to Asda I thought I would have to brave my local convenience store. Why are they always so expensive for everything? Because they are a convenience store! I know I know, but I don't agree with being ripped off at any time. I had to bite the bullet and go in.

Although they had normal Semi Skimmed milk, I picked this up and had a look. The bottle size was 750ml, not a size I would normally see milk in. This was in a large tetra Pack, and has a plastic lid on the top. The packaging was cardboard type stuff and the pack colours were white with some nice purple over it. It screamed "1% fat" all over the packaging, so this prompted me to look at the nutritional information. it only has 40 calories per 100ml. Surely it will just taste like Skimmed Milk? The carton bragged that it tasted like Semi Skimmed Milk, but with less fat and calories than Semi Skimmed Milk. With nothing to lose I bought a carton. 75p for this 750ml. Scandalous. I wasn't being ripped off by the name, as the other milk was priced at this as well.

So now to the taste. it is lovely. It really does taste like Semi Skimmed. Perhaps not exactly, but very, very close. It has a nice cream-y taste to it, and I knew it was pretty good for me as well.

I will certainly buy this again, as it is slightly less calories for me, which perhaps means I can have another scoop of Coco Pops - what do you think?!!!

I too like this. It's cheaper than Cravendale and lasts just as long.

Cravendale for me all the way.
