Advantages: Lasts ages in the fridge, low in fat, "proper" milk taste

Disadvantages: Only available in 2 litre (4-pint) containers

An interesting product. A milk that kids will drink and have on their cereals AND a milk that adults can use knowing that it's low in fat.

My kids will drink what is effectively skimmed milk. Who would have thought it? After years of trying and years of buying skimmed for the grown-ups and semi-skimmed for the kids. Now we have the one bottle that everyone uses. Result: less wasted milk as it's always used before it goes off and less packaging to recycle.

This has been cleverly marketed as well. It's supplied in a container with a purple lid and label which shows it's not the "red" milk (skimmed) that the kids know they think they don't like. So they're happy enough to drink it.

It also seems to last longer than "normal" milk. Ours has kept in the fridge, opened but with the cap on, for over a week and normal milk would have gone off long before that.

Summary: Long-lasting milk that's low in fat and that my kids will drink

I used to really like this milk but have gone off it recently and switched back to semi-skimmed.

In response to mummy2harry, I don't claim to be an expert on what kids should or should not drink. However my own kids are ceertainly not toddlers and eat the same stuff that adults do. Parents should make their own minds up for their own kids. However IF you do want to buy one type of milk for the whole family AND you want a lower-fat variety, this is a decent bet.

Shouldn't kids have whole milk and not low fat stuff??
