I had an Asda shop delivered last night and although I ordered chocolate peanuts, they sent chocolate raisins instead. Now because the packets look very much the same I didn't reaisie until I was about to eat them. After getting over my disappointment, I decided to eat them anyway because I was craving chocolate so bad. They cost me around 36p for a 70g packet. The raisins are a tad smaller than what I'm used to but I normally pay double the price so I wasn't complaining too much. They had a nice thick coating of chocolate on them and inside each bag there was a fair amount of raisins. On tasting the product, I wasn't blown away by them but I wasn't ... As part of my main grocery shop at Asda, mini packs of sweets/ treats have started to creep into my shopping trolley. My sweet purchases are usually in the Asda own brand confectionary range and feature in the 3 bags for £1 offer. Now my Dad loves chocolate raisins. He has done for as long as he can remember, which is certainly longer than I can remember. He's not too particularly about what brand of chocolate raisins they are either, which is always a bonus, and so last time I was in Asda I popped down the sweet aisle and picked up a couple of bags; one for him and one for me - I had to see what they were like too of course. Asda's Chocolate Raisins cost 36p a bag but can be bought on offer 3 bags for a £1 along with any other sweets on offer.
