... this is great value for money and you only need to add one egg and a spoon full of water to the mixture to make the cakes. Me and the children have made these today and it was so much fun and really easy for them to do,my 5 year old really enjoyed helping to mix the cake mixture and there is not to much mess which is also great,the cakes them self have turned out lovely and after tasting one each the children have said that they are lovely and fluffy so smiles all round....more

For Christmas, I bought my daughter a cheap cooking set and topped it up with simple packet cakes and bits. She has finally got round to studying it and wanted me to help her make the packet of chocolate sponge. The chocolate sponge mix came from ASDA and was under 40p for the packet. The packaging is light and dark purple costing under 40p I was not expecting it to be much good. The sponge mix was ASDA brand, which is a value range offering good value for money.
