After spending so much money on keeping my children stocked up with snacks for school break time i thought that we could have a go at making our own,and at a fraction of the cost.


Asda Chocolate Sponge Mix comes in a purple packet with a picture of a chocolate cake on the front.
each packet can make 1 cake(8 slice) or 12 fairy cakes,(we made the 12 fairy cakes and you get plenty of mixture and the children even licked out the bowl)the cake mixture is suitable for vegetarians ,preparation time is 10 minutes and baking time 12 minutes,oven cook only.

The mixture contains wheat flour,sugar,vegetable oil,fat reduced coca powder and rasing agents.
CONTAINS GLUTEN AND WHEAT AND MAY ALSO CONTAIN NUT TRACE AND /OR SEEDS.

There is 111kcal to each slice of cake

The price of Asda Chocolate Sponge Mix is 35 pence and this is great value for money and you only need to add one egg and a spoon full of water to the mixture to make the cakes.

Me and the children have made these today and it was so much fun and really easy for them to do,my 5 year old really enjoyed helping to mix the cake mixture and there is not to much mess which is also great,the cakes them self have turned out lovely and after tasting one each the children have said that they are lovely and fluffy so smiles all round.
