I brought these Cheese And Onion crisps in Asda last week because the week before we'd had their own brand Salt And Vinegar ones and they were proper tasty. A 6 pack of crisps was about £1.25 and that's a good bit cheaper than Walkers, but Asda were doing an offer where you could buy 3 multipacks for £3.00 and that's a bargain. The crisps are a bit thicker and crunchier than Walkers and are definately a darker golden brown, I think since Walkers changed the oil they use to make their crisps they all look madly pale and white now. These smelll stronger of cheese than onion but I can also smell the onion in them and the 2 go together proper ... Read the complete review

I have nothing about buying own brand crisps, we only buy them for my husband for his work lunch box, and so spending a fortune on them isn't really necessary, so we normally buy smart price crisps, either the maize snacks or the normal potato crisps. But we bought these a couple of months ago just to try them, they are 3 packs for £3, so a pound for 6 packs of crisps, which is double the price of the smart price crisps, but it wasn't really about the price just wanted to try them! The taste of the crisps is fine, nothign can be faulted, though the salt and vinigar aren't really the same flavour as more expensive crisps like Walkers, but still, nice. They have ... In my house, we eat a lot of crisps, especially my son who happily wolfs down packet after packet if I let him, so buying the most expensive ones like walkers can be a bit of a struggle. I saw these in ASDA and thought that I would give them a try after trying a lot of ASDA products that were nice. I normally hog all of the cheese and onion flavour from the walkers packs, so these were the ones I thought I'd get because they're normally the first gone in my house. NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION: ------------------------------------- In every 25g packet there is: -544 kilojoules of energy, -1.4g of protein, - 13.4g of carbohydrates, ... Read the complete review

I always try own brands. If they get the taste right, then because they are so cheap it's definitely worth the savings. I tried 'ASDAs' own brand crisps, and was hoping for nothing fancy, just a fresh tasting cheese and onion packet of crisps... unfortunately I was slightly disappointed. The packaging is nothing special, if they can keep the cost down then they can pass on the savings to us, which I believe happens. This multipack costs just £1.22, that's just over 20p per packet! In terms of cost, these were certainly doing well in my estimations, with other packets coming in at 50p, I knew where I could save a little on my shopping bill. After ... Read the complete review

I decided to shop at Asda this week as I had got a little bored of Sainsburys. After my recent review of Sainsburys cheese and onion crisps, I only thought it was fair to see how Asda's own brand compared to that and Walkers. Asda's own brand cost £1.29 for eight bags, or at the moment 3 multipack bags for £3.00. Each individual bag of crisps are 25g. These make them equivalent in weight to Sainsbury and Walkers, but at a few pence more expensive, you get two extra bags. The bags themselves are relatively cheap and cheerful but do appear fuller than the Sainsburys version. The crisps are also of a relatively normal size, though they are quite ...
