Advantages: Great tasting and cheap.
Disadvantages: None for the price.
Without going into what I like to call the executive range of crisps, things like Pringles and Kettle chips, the best crisps money can buy has to be Golden Wonder.
The main crisps you seem to see for sale these days however are Walkers and for me these are just not that good.
Asda do many flavours of crisps and if you have tried them you will know that they are a very decent crisp and every bit as good as Walkers but a good bit less expensive.
Right now at Asda you can get three six packs of walkers for £3 or three eight packs of Asda crisps for the same £3, that's six extra packs with the Asda option and for me that is a no brainer.
Asda do a similar range of basic flavours as every other crisps, cheese and onion, salt and vinegar, ready salted and a range of meat flavours including beef and onion and bacon. The Asda crisps have a lovely crunch and always have a very strong flavour.
The nutritional info is very similar to Walkers crisps too so there is little difference all round, a packet of asda crisps has just over 90 calories and around 6g of fat, this varies slightly depending on the flavour but the difference is tiny.
These are highly tasty crisps that are always very high in quality and very inexpensive and therefore come highly recommended by me!
Summary: On a par with Walkers but not as good as Golden Wonder.
