      Not for me this one!

I absolutely love jam whether it be on toast or simply in a sandwich! Recently Asda have been selling their extra special range with 25% off it all and so this particular jam is currently on offer at a pound a jar and loving raspberry jam/conserve I couldn't wait to give it the taste test!

      The Packaging:

The conserve comes in a glass jar that holds 340g's of the stuff and it has a a black twist on/off lid to the top of it concealing a large hole. On the front of the jar there is a dark purple label with a photograph of some raspberries on and we are told that it is Asda 'Extra Special' Raspberry Conserve 'Made using whole fruits, specially selected for their superior quality' and that it contains no artificial colours or flavours and the size is stated (as I've listed already). On the white label at the back of the jar we are told the ingredients and given allergy advice, there is a full nutritional rundown chart and contact details for Asda are given. It's a nice jar and I do like the large opening to the top of it for ease of getting the conserve out of.

      The Conserve Itself:

When you first screw off the lid you are are met with a dark burgundy coloured set looking jam with plenty of seeds in it and it has a slight sweet aroma to it but it isn't really all that fruity.

This spreads with ease and is transparent apart from the seeds. It has a naturally sweet fruity taste to it though it doesn't contain lots of flavour in my opinion, my main problem with this though is the seeds...there are far too many of them to get stuck in my teeth and they're a right pain to get out!

This to me is a fine looking raspberry conserve and I like the way it spreads quite thickly and easily but I find that this isn't flavoured enough for me and I really don't like the seeds within it one bit!
