I met an old friend in town a few weeks ago and as usual we had lots of news to catch up on, she is always busy with her family and I always seem to be busy doing something or other. Anyway to cut a long story short I asked her if she fancied coming around for a bite of lunch one day. That was fine and I was really looking forward to her coming, but first of all I had to find something to eat, I know that Jan isn't too keen on meat so I had to find time to wander around Asda to see what I could come up with. I am a big fan of fish pie generally. I like fish but I am a lazy eater and the fact a fish pie has no bones and sauce and you can eat it with only a fork really appeals sometimes! Having a healthy meal in the freezer for those lazy days when you cannot face preparing a meal is definitely a bonus. (Remind me to stock up on these before the new baby makes an appearance!) I am not sure why I decided to by the Asda Good For You Fish Pie. It must have been on offer I guess because fish is so good for you that I don't usually worry about trying to find a lower fat version of a fish dish. ~*~ Asda Fish Pie ~*~ It is only quite recently that I have started experimenting with fish dishes. Up until a few months ago, fish was a dish that, quite honestly, scared me! I really can't explain why, just the sound of 'fish pie' would put me off my food! Silly I know.
