Advantages: Taste similar to the leading brand

Disadvantages: high in sugar

I'd don't often buy sugary cereals but I made the mistake of doing my online shop whilst I was hungry and dumped a whole load of rubbish into the trolley, these being one of them.

They are of course a take on the Kelloggs version and are mini circular hoops made up of oats and wheat and finished off with a coating of honey.

They are a pale yellow in colour and if you look closely you can see that they have slight shine to them which is the honey glazing. They have added iron and are a good source of fibre.

When it comes to the taste they are rather sweet and I definitely wouldn't eat them first thing in the morning because I'd end up with a monster headache for the rest of the day. I do however like them as a nighttime snack and they do a great of job of curbing my sweet tooth.

I think they are a good 'take' on the name brand version of these and would definitely choose these because they are a lot cheaper. At the moment you can buy two boxes for £2 which I think is very good.

A 30g serving of these will provide you with 171 calories, 15.8g of sugar and 3.0g of fat. So we can clearly see that these are low in fat but ridiculously high in sugar so these are probably no the best thing to give the kids before for breakfast as they may end up being a bit of a handful for the teacher!

Although I did enjoy these over a period of a couple of weeks, I doubt I will be buying them again for a little while. I would recommend that you give them a try if you are a loyal 'Honey nut loops' buyer because I can guarantee that you will be pleasantly surprised.

Summary: Save a few bob and buy these
