I seem to be reviewing a lot of Asda things at the moment so here is my review of my latest fantastic find - Asda Smart Price Toffee Flavour Yoghurt. Firstly, my reasons for purchasing this yoghurt would be to a) find something sweet and yummy to curb some of those deadly sugar cravings on my diet (which will be starting on monday...again!!) and b) it's only 10p a pot so I would defy anyone to not even give it a go! I will admit that the packaging is uninspiring at best - it's a standard yoghurt pot with peel-able lid and the label itself is quite a bright green on white with some black writing. Dull? Yes, I suppose it is but then again, you're ... Read the complete review

A recent trip to Asda led me to purchase a few of their Smart Price items, one of which was a toffee yogurt priced at just 9p. Incidentally, the lady at the checkout informed me they are due to be discontinued so if you like them pop a few in your trolley before they disappear. This isn't a problem for me, however, as I thought the yogurt was absolutely appalling. It tasted nothing like toffee, was extremely thin and looked a terribly unappetising beige blobby mess. I'm not a yogurt snob and will try even the cheapest brand but this one really is awful. The yogurt isn't creamy whatsoever and needed a good stir before I tucked in because the top ... I buy a lot of the smart price range and I find generally it's very good but you do get the odd occasion when something isn't that nice. This yogurt was one of these occasions. The packaging is a 'put off' to start with. It's the very basic green and white colours on a see through plastic. The pot is 125g and costs just 10p. On opening the yogurt I did get a whiff of toffee which I thought was a good start because the Smart price chocolate swiss roll I reviewed a while ago didn't even smell of chocolate. It looked beige in colour and I thought it had quite a watery consistency to it compared to other yogurts I've tried but I soildered on! I put a ... Read the complete review

A small see through plastic tub with a very plain green and white Asda smart price label wrapped around it and similar coloured foil lid is what you will find Asda smart price toffee yogurt comes in and you will also find after tasting it that you wished you had left it in there. My wife brought home some of these from a recent shopping trip to Asda and even the kids who will normally eat any kind of yogurt won't touch them. Being a bit stupid and using the words "how bad can they be"? I delved into one. Very bad is the answer to my question, there is a toffee taste there somewhere but only just and the yogurt instead of being smooth and creamy seems ... Read the complete review

End of the month poverty, where enough money needs to be scraped up for groceries until next payday can often result in trying something new. In this case, Asda's Smart Price toffee yoghurts. These were marked as ten pence each in our local Asda - a price that made me stop and look at them. I take yoghurts to work as part of my lunch, and that price was hard to walk away from. The packaging wasn't all that promising though. The green and white of Asda's Smart Price label kept on discouraging me with the thought that it might be disgusting. I reached past it for a week to add other things to my packed lunch until today I discovered that there WAS ... Read the complete review
