I picked this up in Asda the other day when we popped in to get a few bits. I used to be a huge fan of tinned macaroni cheese and would often eat it on a daily basis, however it got a bit much and I went right off of it. Seeing this in Asda I thought I should try it again as it would make a quick, easy and cheap snack or tea. It cost just 54p for 410g, whereas the same size Heinz tin costs 93p. The packaging has had a revamp from that shown in the picture and is now predominantly bright green with a large Macaroni Cheese title on and a fun picture of the macaroni. I normally buy Heinz macaroni cheese which is 88p, the asda version is 46p for the same size tin. I can't help but compare the two. I have come to the conclusion I'll be sticking to Heinz. Not being a very good cook I am always on the look out for meals in a tin, I spotted this in my local asda and as it only costs around 50p I thought I would give it a try. The packaging is now a bit different to the above it is all green with a picture of three macaronis on the front so it is quite bright and easy to spot. It is easy to cook, you can put it in a bowl in the microwave or you can heat it on the hob. I do mine in the microwave so I don't forget its on the hob and end up burning it. The sauce is quite thick and creamy and tastes cheesy though not really of real cheese. It isn't watery as I was thinking it would be for a cheap product. ... Read the complete review
