I think my sweet tooth must be returning to me, because lately, whenever I go into a shop or garage or supermarket, I can't seem to leave without picking up a bag of sweets. I suppose Halloween you have an excuse, what with trick or treat, and now the buildup for Christmas is foremost on people's minds, sweet season is here! Asda do this quirky little product. I don't usually go to Asda, but we were near one visiting a relative and popped in briefly for something to eat. They have 95g bags of these milk bottles for 36p or you can get 3 for a pound (barely a saving but the pennies all mount up, I suppose). These are those chewy little white sweets ... I'm sort of in the mood to eat sweets at the moment - so while I do, I thought I'd write about the ones I've chosen to eat. - Well it almost seems wrong not to eh! Asda sell these as part of their 3 for £1 range of sweets. The pack is 95g which might not sound a lot but as these sweets don't weigh much you get a good amount in the pack - somewhere around 40ish I'd say looking at them (more than you'd want in one sitting I'd say - well unless you have a really sweet tooth anyway). The sweet is shaped like a little bottle, and it's white. Its sort of dusty the way some jelly babies are - in fact it's of a similar size and texture to the touch as well. ... Milk Bottles are funny little soft sweets that are white, and shaped like bottles. They smell dusty and savoury when you sniff them (that's the best I can do) and taste unlike anything else on the market. Sure, there's a hint of milk in the flavour, but over all it's an oddly savoury taste that only gets sweet when you start chewing. Each sweet is light dusted, and so very dry when you pop it in your mouth, only upon chewing do you get the full flavour, which is nice. They are part of the Asda 3 for £1 range, and each packet is 95 grams, which is heavier than a lot of the range, so you're getting a lot of sweet for your cash. Not surprisingly, ... Asda have a long term price off where you can buy three bags of these sweets (and others in the range) for £1.00 or buy each bag separately for around 35-40p (price varies). The sweets are all decorated nicely in clear bags (so you can be tempted by the appearance of the sweets) and with miscellaneous things on them. This one has a cow (just in case you didn't see the word milk!). The bag is 95g and for your money you will normally get between 35 & 40 milk bottles just under an inch high, this is a great amount for an adult or even to share amongst little ones. Each bag contains 316 calories & 50.7g of sugars so too many of these ... Read the complete review

By now most people who read my reviews should be aware of my 'quest' to review all Asda Brand children's sweets and so I'll open this review simply by saying that the latest bag I chose the eat and hence review was Asda Milk Bottles. These sweets come in a 100g pale blue bag and cost 38p from you'll never guess, Asda. The bag front of the bag as a grass meadow printed on it and a picture of a small black and white cow. The words Milk Bottles are printed in white on the front with the letter 'I' in milk being shaped like one of the milk bottle sweets. The front also tells me that the sweets contain no artificial colours or flavours, twice in fact it's that ... Read the complete review
