When the children come home from school In the afternoon, I allow them to have a little treat. I dont allow them to eat lots of sweets and chocolate, but I do allow them to have a few pieces, in order to satisfy their sweet craving. and also boost their energy after a long day at school. Both My children love chocolate buttons. So when I was shopping in Asdas recently, I noticed Asda milk chocolate buttons and with the extremely cheap x bag for a £1 price tag I thought I would give them a try. The buttons are packaged in a dark blue bag., with a brown circle representing a chocolate button on the front. The ASDA logo is displayed on the product and so is the ... Read the complete review

As part of ASDA's 3 fo £1 offer, these are good value chocolate buttons. Surely with something so simple and basic as choccy buttons you can't go too wrong anyway can you? Well let's see! First up, these are a little bit anaemic looking. The colour is quite light which makes me think they are a bit weak and won't taste as nice as leading brands. The size and shape is identical to all the usual ones - little circles. If I'm honest, I find this annoying because they're so thin and small it means kids always get melted choccy on their hands when they eat them. There is no way of eating them that stops that happening, and I for one find that a bit ... Read the complete review

I usually steer away from the more "traditional" confectionary when I'm stocking up on my grocery shop on the Adsa own brands versions of certain sweets. My reasoning is that often these types of products are not quite as tasty as those from the leading brands so I am left very disappointed. However I decided to give Asda Chocolate Buttons a go just to be slightly adventurous and of course if they were hideous I could still write about it on Dooyoo. ***Packaging*** The Asda Chocolate buttons come in a 70g bright blue bag. This has a red trim so the bright colours stand out of the shelf. The Asda brand is visible on the front of the ... Read the complete review

I like Cadbury's Buttons myself and I am always dubious about imitation buttons. You often find them at the cinema in those pick n mix trays, though the taste always makes my tongue perk up and raise questions! The Asda version of the chocolate button comes in a bright blue pack, you get 70g of buttons in them, so it is on a par with the Cadbury's one in terms of quantity. Bag is easy enough to open provided you don't have wet fingers. Taste: Here is the dubious bit! The taste is of chocolate, so that's a good start! But the chocolate lacks the luxurious rounded flavour that you get with Cadbury. I get the impression that these buttons ... Read the complete review

We normally have an on going collection of chocolate buttons in our house. I have two young children so I tend to keep a batch in the cupboard for emergencies! Along with the white chocolate ones from Asda, I usually order a batch of these too be cause you can pick up three packets just £1 with Asda's ongoing sweetie offer. The chocolate buttons are primarily for my boys but I have been known to steal a few when I am craving my little heart out. The buttons are made of milk chocolate and are slightly lighter in colour than the Cadbury's version. Other than that they have the same shape; the slightly rounded top and flat bottom. The buttons are of ... Read the complete review
