I'm really not very into these and it's not something I would choose to buy but Andrew wanted some when I did an Asda shop yesterday and I couldn't help myself when he was eating them last night. What are they? They are little soft centred sweets that are in the shape of little babies. The outside is a little harder than the inside but still soft enough that I would give one to my little baby. They are basically a replica of the famous Bassetts Jelly babies. How can you buy them? They are available from Asda and come in a 100g bag which cost 37p for one or you can take advantage of the long running offer that Asda have on the ... Read the complete review

Everyone on here is going to think I'm a sweet addict. It's true thought that I do like a nice bag of sweets but what I hate is paying a fortune for them, as most of the highly priced sweets do not take very long to eat at all and are definitely not good for you (not that I expect sweets to be). It was once again then Asda's sweets that I turned to when watching a film with the family. The bag in question that I selected from my secret stash (I buy them in bulk saves traipsing to the shops in the pouring rain) was Asda's mini jelly babies. The sweets were definitely worth the money but out of all the varieties I have tried have to be my least favourite. The ... Read the complete review

I was recently given a bag of Asda Mini Jelly Babies by a friend, as part of a 'get well soon package', which was very kind. Unfortunately, despite the fact that I normally love Bassetts jelly babies, I was not at all impressed with these. Jelly babies are fruit flavoured jelly sweets in the shape of little people (or babies!), and these particular mini ones from Asda are aimed at children and are part of their 'Kids' Sweets' range. They come in an orange plastic packet with cute bubbly lettering and a little clear window so that you can get a glimpse of the babies before purchasing them. The bag contains 100 grams of jelly babies and so is quite ... Read the complete review

Thank god in these days of the dreaded credit crunch, where families can't afford the simple little luxuries in life and even buying a simple sweet like the classic jelly baby means breaking the bank, we have Asda looking after us...... Well trying to god bless them. Asda have created their very own jelly babies which they are willing to sell at a price even the poorest family can afford so as long as you are willing to put up with the loss of the nice dusting that classic jelly babies have and get on with having to put a lot more effort into chewing these tough little buggers then you can once again treat yourself. These babies come in the usual ... Read the complete review

When it comes to a sweet treat it is not always chocolate I reach for, one thing I love to replace chocolate with is Bassets Jelly Babies. On a recent trip to Asda I noticed that they had their own brand of jelly babies, known as Mini Jelly Babies. Firstly let me say if you have tried the original jelly babies by Bassets and I am sure most people have, you will find straight away that these are nothing like them but they are a nice sweet in their own right. One of the first differences I noticed (apart from the fact these are half the size) was the fact that where the Bassets ones each have their own flavour to match the colour, these asda ones all ...
