Advantages: Cheap and taste ok!

Disadvantages: Not as good as the classic jelly baby.

Thank god in these days of the dreaded credit crunch, where families can't afford the simple little luxuries in life and even buying a simple sweet like the classic jelly baby means breaking the bank, we have Asda looking after us...... Well trying to god bless them.

Asda have created their very own jelly babies which they are willing to sell at a price even the poorest family can afford so as long as you are willing to put up with the loss of the nice dusting that classic jelly babies have and get on with having to put a lot more effort into chewing these tough little buggers then you can once again treat yourself.

These babies come in the usual colours and although a bit smaller still have the baby like appearance, they taste nice enough if anything a bit fruitier than the original ones and they are much cheaper. A bag of these jelly babies will cost you the tiny sum of only 38p, or would you believe it even better you can get 3 bags for £1.

So to put it simply for you, they are not as good but they are still ok and they are much cheaper so if money is tight and you are wondering where your next treat or indeed meal is coming from then these are the jelly babies for you!
