I recently wrote about Milk Chocolate Puffins, and although I did like them, I am keen on Mint Chocolate, so I had to try these. They are the bargain price of 61p for 8 Chocolate Biscuits, or you can get 3 packs of Asda Biscuits for £1.50. Puffin Biscuits are Asda's version of McVities Penguin's. They are a Chocolate bard but crumbly Biscuit all wrapped in Milk Chocolate. However the difference of these ones compared to the Milk Chocolate ones, is that on top of the Milk Chocolate crumbly Biscuit there is a quite thick layer of Mint Cream Fondant, and then the Milk Chocolate is on top. The Milk Chocolate is nice, Milky and sweet. You can tell it ... Read the complete review

When I bought the orange puffins in Asda I just had to have some mint ones too. 8, 25g chocolate covered biscuits for 61 p is quite good value 29.9 p per 100g; they are on offer 4 packs of 8 biscuits for £2 so even better deal. These biscuits come in packets containing 8 individually wrapped biscuits. As you might guess they are wrapped in a mint green package have the word asda puffin on the front and pictures of the biscuit. I have eaten one of these biscuits they are completely covered in a fairly thin covering of chocolate; it is a good tasty milk chocolate .The biscuit is a chocolate biscuit sandwiched like a bourbon biscuit. The filling is a ... Read the complete review

I like a bit of chocolate as we all should know by now and having tried the chocolate version of these, I thought I'd give the other flavours a go. They are very cheap costing just £1.60 for 3 packets of 8 and can only be bought from Asda. They are Asda's take on penguins and although I didn't enjoy them as much as the chocolate ones, they were still really good and well worth the money I paid for them. The Puffins are made up of two chocolate biscuits sandwiching a mint cream and the whole thing is finished off with a thick layer of milk chocolate. The biscuits are wrapped individually in green wrappers so you can distinguish the flavours very ... Read the complete review

I have always loved penguin biscuits by McVities, and asdas own version by the name of Pufifn (!) are just as delicious. As well as the normal chocolate flavour, they also do a mint option. Like the others, the outer layer of this biscuit is a shiny sweet milk chocolate coating. It gives off such a delicious chocolatey aroma, but you can also smell the mint a lot too. When you bite in, your teeth sink through the first layer of fine chocolate, before it hits the next. Inside there is a thin chocolate biscuit layer which is very crunchy and sweet. On top of that there is a reasonably sized white layer of cream. This has such a sugary sweet minty flavour - sort ... Read the complete review
