This bag of Asda Foam Mushrooms has been in our cupboard forever, I'm not mad keen on these foamy sweets so haven't bothered with them but today I NEEDED sugar. I'm aware of the huge sugar content of these supermarket sweets so it made sense for me to eat a few. I'm shocked actually by how yummy they are. The mushrooms are very light in texture and sooooo chewy, it's practially impossible to keep one in your mouth long enough to let it start dissolving and going soggy because the fruity raspberry flavour starts bursting out of them as soon as you put a sweet in your mouth. I love the flavour, I never would have thought a foam sweet would have such ... Read the complete review

Back from my International Air Cadet Exchange Trip to Belgium the first thing I noticed on my desk when I walked in was a pile of empty sweet bags with sticky notes stuck to the front of them. These are the remnants of the week before I left for my trip and so today fully recovered from the past fortnights antics I decided it was about time I set to and wrote up the reviews. Asda's Chewy Foamy Mushrooms are another rip-roaring success in my opinion and are definitely one of my favourite sweets in this range. They cost 38p a bag but like all the sweets in this range can be purchased on offer, 3 bags for £1. The bag itself is a blend of pinks and plum colours, ... Read the complete review

I have sampled a fair amount of confectionary from the Asda own brand so was quite surprised when I came across Asda Chewy Mushrooms as this was a new sweet treat for me to sample and of course review on Dooyoo............ ***Packaging*** The packaging of the chewy mushrooms is brightly coloured but pretty plain in comparison to some of the other confectionary from Asda's range. The bag is bright pink with the Asda brand on the front of the packaging. There is also a plastic cut out window on the front of the packaging so you can see the mushroom sweets inside of the packaging. ***Price*** Asda Chewy Mushrooms are ... Read the complete review

When I saw these in the sweet aisle at Asda, I just had to pick up a packet. They took me back to the days when I would pile tones of penny sweets in a bag and tell the woman at the check out I had 20p worth rather than the 50p I had actually put inside. These were a firm favourite of mine back then and I can't begin to think how many I ate (or should I say stole!). These particular mushrooms cost 37p from Asda and contain no artificial flavours or colourings. They come in a 75g bag which means you get around 20 of the sweets. The sweets themselves are pink and white and are shaped like little mushrooms. They are extremely squashy to the touch and ... Read the complete review

I remember these sweets from my childhood, I have not had them for a good few years and thought that my daughter picking them out was the perfect excuse to buy them again when we where shopping together in Asda. They are Asda's own brand, they cost 37p for a 75g bag which contains around 20 sweets. They also seem to be on a constant offer of 3 packs for one pound, you can mix and match these with other similar bags of sweets, eg, white mice or flying saucers (another blast from the past). The packaging is a a thick plastic pack that is crimped sealed at each end. When trying to open the pack, I tried to pinch open the bag, like I would with a ... Read the complete review
