I've had an ASDA Carbonara Meal pot in my kitchen cupboard for absolutely ages, but never really felt like eating it. In fact when I did eat it I didn't really feel like eating it, however I was waiting in for a plumber and I didn't want to cook something that would leave dirty pots and pans all over the kitchen or have any strong cooking smells, and this was the only thing in the cupboard I could really eat. This is basically a pasta in a carbonara (cheese and ham) sauce that comes in a plastic pot, to which you add boiling water, a lot like a pot noodle really. The packaging of this is pretty awful to be honest. I ordered it online, but I think ... Read the complete review

I recently decided that spending £3+ a day o sandwiches etc at work was a waste of money and that I should become a bit more money savvy and start taking in my own. Problem is I'm inherently lazy, and getting up even 5 minutes earlier to make a sandwich does not appeal, so I thought I'd get some snack pot type affairs to take in with me, pop them in the bag, add in hot water, and munch, money saved. So Asda had on offer 3 for £1.50 some pasta snack pots. I opted for two chicken and mushroom and one of the tomato variety. I took a chickenm one in with me, and I've got to admit I was quite looking forward to being all virtuous. On ... Read the complete review

Asda Pasta Snack Pot were on offer at 3 for £1.50 when I bought these (I think that this is a standard offer in Asda and not a special offer) and thought I would try them as an alternative to Pot Noodle. The first one that I tried was the Chicken and Mushroom version I also bought the Tomato and Herb version. The first difference between these and the other brands of pasta based quick meals is the selection of flavours but don't let this deter you. The instructions on the pot tell you to fill the pot with boiling water up to the line, stir and recover with the lid for 5 mintues. The line isn't very clear and there is nothing to say fill here so ... Read the complete review

I got this in a three for £1.50 whilst doing on online shop and browsing the mulitibuys. I had never really noticed them as I tend to be a little lazy and just go straight for the products I know or something I recognise when I am actually shopping in the store. As I am trying to be more sensible with money I thought that these would be useful for lunches at work and also simple enough for even my husband to prepare. To prepare you have to peel back the lid and pour in boiling water and this is the only major problem I had as the lid did not peel easily for me the first few I had. My husband did not have this problem so may just have been me. You leave for ... Read the complete review

I tried these as an alternative to pot noodle as it looked a bit different and was cheaper. They are only £1.50 for 3. As far as I know there is a chicken and mushroom version or a tomato and herb version. They come in a plastic bowl like container so it is ok to eat out of. You make them by adding boiling water striring them, you have to give them a good stir or all they powder stays at the bottom, then you let it stand . You need to recover it with the lid or they can stay hard and go cold. After 5 minutes its ready. I think that these taste nice and have quite a bit of pasta in them. They do taste like chicken and mushroom and its is like a thin sort of ... Read the complete review
