When we got our Asda order delivered I was pleased to see my mum had ordered the profiteroles that I had asked for because I love profiteroles and they were only £1.00 for 16 profiteroles. They are frozen so you have to take them out to defrost but that doesn't take long and we ate ours as soon as all the ice had gone but while the cream was still proper cold. I think that for £1.00 they are wicked because they are proper tasty and not much different from some I had in the carvery the other day. The choux pastry is soft and the cream has got a smooth vanilla flavour that is a bit like vanilla ice cream when you eat them still cold like we did. ... Read the complete review

ASDA ASDA is the second largest retailer in the UK behind Tesco. In store you will find thousands of avail able purchases from food to clothing. It is well renowned for its cheap prices after claiming the title of Britain's lowest priced supermarket for 11 years running! ASDA is a good quality supermarket with good value and for people like me (student) with very little income it's very handy if you want to save a few pennies on your weekly shop! ABOUT THE PRODUCT ASDA's Profiteroles are the same principle as most others. Small balls of pastry wrapped round delicious whipped cream inside. A £1 these are probably the cheapest around, ... A while ago my boyfriend and I decided that we were spending far too much money and being far too indulgent when we went grocery shopping and so decided as a method of saving money we would start trying out own brand products from the likes of Asda and Tesco which are the two main supermarkets we tend to use. Profiteroles for a long time now have been one of my favourite little inudlgences and so when we were wandering around the freezer section of our local Asda and I spied this little box of magic in amongst the party food so I decided to pop them in the trolley - at only a pound my first instinct was - they can't be good if they're being sold so cheaply, ... When it comes to sweets and desserts my preference is definitely for something with cream in it, if as in this case there is also the addition of chocolate then we are getting seriously into heaven country. Unfortunately in this case the chocolate is not real and just a chocolate sauce, but having said that it is a bitter smooth yet sweet sauce which does itself justice when one considers the overall price of ASDA profiteroles. At £1 for a neat little box of 15 there is no way you can go wrong. The bright blue box contains within it frontage a rather tasty looking picture of a plate of these profiteroles. In such cases where the purchase price is ... Read the complete review

Anyone familiar with my previous reviews will be aware of my love for anything sweet and puddingy, ok so that is not technically a word but it's the best I can come up with to describe my love! After a visit to my local Asda I thought I deserved a treat, so after perusing the freezer isle I happened upon these beauties and had to indulge. The product I will now review is "Asda's profiteroles with chocolate sauce". The box these little delights come in is a smallish box navy blue in colour. There is the most enticing picture of the profiteroles, all piled haphazardly, and thoroughly drenched with what looks like the chocolate ... Read the complete review
