Advantages: Dead nice profiteroles; Plenty of chocolate sauce; Cheap

Disadvantages: None

When we got our Asda order delivered I was pleased to see my mum had ordered the profiteroles that I had asked for because I love profiteroles and they were only £1.00 for 16 profiteroles. They are frozen so you have to take them out to defrost but that doesn't take long and we ate ours as soon as all the ice had gone but while the cream was still proper cold.

I think that for £1.00 they are wicked because they are proper tasty and not much different from some I had in the carvery the other day. The choux pastry is soft and the cream has got a smooth vanilla flavour that is a bit like vanilla ice cream when you eat them still cold like we did.

You warm the chocolate sauce up in a mug of boiling water and it's soooo nice! It's a dark chocolate sauce and it's glossier than I thought it would be and has got a rich and good quality flavour. The sachet is big enough to drizzel over all the profiteroles and you can get a good amount on each one and it drips down onto the plate so you can dip the profiteroles in.

The chocolate doesn't get as hot as I'd like it to in the mug of hot water so next time I'm going to stick it in the microwave because I reckon nuking it for a few secs would make it hot enough to start melting the profiteroles and cream and that would be a wicked pudding.

The profiteroles are perfect and the pastry is full of cream with no gaps at the top and the pastry is moist and it melts in the mouth. The chocolate has got quite a strong flavour and goes proper nice with the profiteroles because all the cream in them is quite faint in taste and the chocolate is strong and it livens it all up.

Summary: Profiteroles From Asda
